Severe Heat Expected in Various Regions of Morocco
The Moroccan Directorate General of Meteorology has issued a warning for hot weather conditions expected this Saturday and Sunday across several regions of the country. The alert, categorized as an "orange" level warning, indicates that temperatures are likely to soar between 34 and 41 degrees Celsius in various provinces, including Ben Slimane, Berrechid, Rabat, Sale, Skhirat-Témara, El Jadida, Safi, Essaouira, Casablanca, Mediouna, Mohammedia, Nouasser, Hajeb, and Khénifra.
Furthermore, the forecast suggests that certain regions may experience even higher temperatures ranging from 40 to 45 degrees Celsius. This extreme heat is anticipated in provinces such as Fquih Ben Salah, Meknes, Moulay Yacoub, Larache, Taroudant, Wazan, Kenitra, Sidi Kacem, Sidi Slimane, Khouribga, Settat, Chichaoua, Fez, Taounate, Qalaat Seraghna, Marrakech, Rhamna, Khmissat, Sidi Bennour, Youssoufia, and Beni Mellal. Residents are advised to take necessary precautions to stay safe during this heat wave.
