Key Dates and Venues for Moroccan Clubs in CAF Competitions

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially announced the schedules, venues, and referees for the upcoming matches in the second round of both the CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederation Cup. Notably, the Moroccan club Renaissance Berkane, which reached the semifinals in the previous edition and received a bye in the first round, is set to face Sierra Leone's Star Sport Academy. The first leg of this encounter will take place on October 17 at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex in Monrovia, Liberia, while the return leg is scheduled for October 24 in Berkane. The Tanzanian referee Ahmed Ali Aragiha will officiate the first leg, and the second leg will be managed by Sudanese referee Mahmoud Ali Mahmoud Ismail.

Meanwhile, the Royal Army team, the African runner-up participating in this season's Confederation Cup, will compete against Ivory Coast's Club Omnisport de Korhogo. Their first match is set for October 17 at the Amadou Gon Coulibaly Stadium in Korhogo, followed by a return match on October 25 at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat. The first leg will be overseen by Malian referee Ousmane Diakité, while Congolese referee Messi Jesse Ofid Nkounkou Mfouto will officiate the second leg.

The Raja Club Athletic will face Nigeria's Lobi Stars on October 18 at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, Nigeria, before playing the return match on October 23 at the Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca. The first leg will be refereed by Sierra Leone's Sulaiman Santigie Kamara, with the return match officiated by Congolese referee Yannick Malala.

Additionally, the recently re-entered Moroccan club FUS Rabat, returning to the African scene after 14 years, will meet Ivory Coast's ASEC Mimosas on October 17 at a yet-to-be-determined venue due to ongoing maintenance at the Grand Stadium in Fez. The return leg is scheduled for October 24 at the Félix Houphouët-Boigny Stadium in Abidjan.
