U.S. Establishes AI and Technology Training Program in Casablanca

This initiative is part of a broader diplomatic presence by the U.S. in Casablanca, as Dar America has recently moved into the new American consular complex built in Casa Finance City.

Program Structure and Participant Recruitment

The selected provider will be responsible for recruiting participants interested in AI or related fields, ensuring that the program is accessible to individuals with varying levels of technical skills. Each of the 30 training sessions will have a minimum duration of two hours, conducted by qualified instructors experienced in the relevant fields who can teach in English, Arabic, or French. Additionally, the provider will develop and submit educational materials and training resources to the U.S. Mission in Morocco for approval.

Beyond training sessions, the program will also include four in-person meetings with American experts residing in Morocco or their representatives. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in project development activities and attend two networking events designed to foster professional connections. The culmination of this initiative will be a public Demo Day where participants can present the projects they have developed during the program.

The provider will also be tasked with managing participant recruitment, communications, photography, program tracking, activity reporting, and logistical arrangements. The contract is expected to last for one year from the date of its award, with all activities taking place at Dar America in Casablanca. Interested companies have until September 19 to submit their proposals to the U.S. Consulate.

This initiative comes at a time when technological cooperation between Morocco and the United States is expanding across various domains related to artificial intelligence. During the African Lion 2026 event, American AI tools were already tested in Morocco, albeit in a military context. The Casablanca project, however, is aimed at civilian training and innovation, marking a significant step toward enhancing Morocco's capabilities in AI and technology.
