Severe Weather Warning in Morocco
The General Directorate of Meteorology has issued a severe weather alert, forecasting thunderstorms accompanied by hail and strong winds, along with high temperatures, spanning from Sunday to Tuesday in various regions across the Kingdom of Morocco. This weather advisory is classified as an orange alert, indicating significant weather conditions that could affect daily life and safety.
According to the meteorological bulletin, thunderstorms are expected to bring between 20 to 30 mm of rainfall, with potential hail and gusty winds from noon until 11 PM this Sunday in the provinces of Tinghir, Zagora, Figuig, Errachidia, Midelt, and Ouarzazate. Additionally, the temperature is projected to soar between 38°C and 40°C in the provinces of Kenitra, Sidi Kacem, Sidi Slimane, and Khemisset on the same day.
The forecast remains consistent for Monday and Tuesday, with temperatures reaching between 38°C and 42°C in the provinces of Aousserd, Oued Ed-Dahab, Boujdour, Laâyoune, and Es-Semara. Strong wind gusts, ranging from 75 to 85 km/h, are also anticipated on Sunday from 10 AM to 11 PM in the regions of Tangier-Assilah and Fahs-Anjra.
