Severe Weather Conditions Forecasted Across Several Regions
The General Directorate of Meteorology has issued a warning regarding an impending heatwave, accompanied by thunderstorms, hail, and gusty winds, expected to affect various regions of the country from Friday through Monday. According to the updated alert, classified as "orange" level, temperatures are predicted to soar between 43 and 46 degrees Celsius in several provinces including Oued Ed-Dahab, Assa-Zag, Smara, Tata, Oussard, and Boujdour.
Additionally, from Friday until Sunday, temperatures in the provinces of Taroudant, Guelmim, Khouribga, Settat, Chichaoua, Sidi Bennour, Essaouira, Safi, Fez, Khmissat, Taounate, Youssoufia, Beni Mellal, Fquih Ben Salah, Meknes, Qalaat Sraghna, Sidi Kassem, Marrakesh, Rhamna, Khenifra, Sidi Slimane, and Moulay Yacoub are expected to range between 38 and 42 degrees Celsius.
Moreover, thunderstorms with rainfall amounts between 15 and 25 mm, along with hail and gusty winds, are anticipated in the provinces of Khenifra, Al Haouz, Azilal, Ifrane, and Midelt. These weather conditions are expected to occur on Friday from 2 PM until 10 PM, indicating a significant impact on daily activities.
