Severe Weather Conditions Forecasted Across Morocco
According to the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM), Morocco is bracing for extreme weather conditions this weekend, particularly from Friday to Sunday. The forecast indicates a significant heat wave, with temperatures soaring between 36°C and 40°C in several provinces including Taroudant, Oued Ed-Dahab, Es-Semara, Boujdour, Laâyoune, and Aousserd. This is accompanied by an orange alert level due to the potential dangers of such high temperatures.
In addition to the heat, the DGM has warned of thunderstorms that may produce heavy rainfall ranging from 20 to 30 mm.
