Extreme Heat Expected Across Morocco
According to the forecasts from the General Directorate of Meteorology, hot weather conditions are set to persist in various regions of Morocco on Monday, with a notable temperature disparity between inland and coastal areas. The highest temperatures are anticipated in Oussred, where the mercury is expected to reach a scorching 43 degrees Celsius, followed closely by Marrakech at 41 degrees. Many inland and eastern cities will see temperatures surpassing the 35-degree mark, indicating a significant heat wave impacting these regions.
In contrast, coastal areas are expected to experience more moderate weather, particularly in cities like Agadir, Casablanca, and Dakhla, where maximum temperatures will likely remain in the mid-twenties. The expected minimum and maximum temperatures for Monday highlight the ongoing thermal differences between coastal cities and inland areas, with the southeast and interior plains expected to remain hotter during the midday period.
