The General Directorate of Meteorology has projected that the weather will remain relatively cool in the Atlas Mountains on Tuesday, March 24. Rain and showers are expected to affect both the Greater and Middle Atlas regions, as well as the surrounding areas and the eastern region.
Cloudy skies are anticipated over the Rif region, the southeast, and the southern coast, creating conditions conducive to sporadic rainfall. Additionally, snowfall is likely to occur at the peaks and high altitudes of the Atlas Mountains, adding a wintery touch to the landscape.
Strong gusts of wind are expected in the Tangier area and along the Mediterranean coast, which may lead to some disruption in these regions. As for temperatures, the minimum readings will range from 0 to 6 degrees Celsius in the Atlas and Rif mountains, as well as the high plateaus. In the Saïss area, the phosphates plateaus, the El Mas region, northern eastern areas, and the eastern slopes of the Atlas, temperatures will be between 6 and 11 degrees. Other regions will experience temperatures between 11 and 16 degrees Celsius.
During the day, a slight increase in temperatures is anticipated overall. Meanwhile, the sea conditions will be somewhat turbulent to rough along the Mediterranean front and the Strait of Gibraltar, as well as along the entire coastline.
