Weather Forecast: Hot Conditions and Dusty Winds Expected

Weather Conditions for Friday

The General Directorate of Meteorology has announced that the weather on Friday is expected to be characterized by hot conditions in the southeastern regions and the southernmost areas of the desert provinces. Additionally, relatively warm weather is anticipated in the interior plains and the Saïss region.

It is also predicted that unstable clouds will form over the Atlas Mountains and the southeastern areas, alongside the development of fog patches during the morning and night along the Mediterranean coast and locally on the Atlantic shores. Furthermore, moderate to somewhat strong gusts of wind are expected in the southern provinces, the Souss region, and parts of the Atlas and southeastern areas, with localized dust swirling in the air.

The minimum temperatures are expected to range between 7 and 13 degrees Celsius in the Atlas Mountains, while the southeastern regions, the east, and the southern provinces will see temperatures between 21 and 28 degrees. The rest of the kingdom will experience minimum temperatures ranging from 14 to 20 degrees Celsius.

During the daytime, temperatures are projected to decrease slightly in the southern provinces and the northern and central interior plains, with no significant changes elsewhere. The Mediterranean Sea will be calm, while the Strait of Gibraltar will see calm to slightly turbulent conditions. Between Cap Spartel and Laayoune, the sea is expected to be slightly choppy to rough, and in the south, it will become locally rough to very rough between Cap Barbas and Goulimime.
