Weather Outlook for June 22, 2026
According to the General Directorate of Meteorology, a hot weather pattern is anticipated across various regions of Morocco on June 22, 2026. The valleys of Moulouya, southeastern areas, and the eastern and southern parts of the Sahara provinces will experience elevated temperatures. Along the coasts and central plains, dense low clouds accompanied by mist or light drizzle are expected, particularly in the north and northwest regions.
Additionally, unstable weather conditions are projected to cause thunderstorms and localized showers in the Middle Atlas, Oriental regions, and the eastern Rif. Strong gusts of wind are likely to occur in the Atlas mountains and eastern slopes, the Oriental region, and near the southern coasts, leading to dust storms in some areas.
The forecast indicates minimum temperatures ranging from 10 to 15°C in the High Atlas, while the valleys of Moulouya, the Oriental region, the southeast, and the extreme south of the country may see minimums between 24 and 30°C. Other regions will generally experience minimum temperatures between 16 and 23°C. Daytime temperatures are expected to decrease in the northern plains, Saiss, and near the southern coasts, while showing an increase or remaining stable elsewhere.
As for the sea conditions, the Mediterranean is expected to be relatively calm, while the Strait and the waters between Tangier and Assilah will be calm to slightly choppy. The stretch from Assilah to Laâyoune will also see mild conditions, with slightly choppy to choppy waters between Laâyoune and Lagouira.
