Moroccan Weather Outlook for Friday

The General Directorate of Meteorology has predicted that Friday will bring scattered rain showers, possibly accompanied by thunderstorms and hail in certain regions of Morocco. Specifically, areas such as the Atlas Mountains, the Rif, the southeastern regions, the eastern highlands, and the plains stretching from El Jadida to Essaouira are anticipated to experience these weather conditions, along with the southern desert provinces.

Additionally, sporadic rainfall is expected in the Mediterranean coast, the northern plains, the Saïs region, the northern desert provinces, and the eastern areas, with a chance of thunder. Generally, the weather will be partly cloudy to overcast in the remaining parts of the country.

Temperature and Wind Conditions

Friday is anticipated to be the day with the highest likelihood of precipitation, with maximum temperatures reaching around 26 degrees Celsius. The probability of rain during the day is estimated at 90%, decreasing to 55% at night. In contrast, the chances of rainfall are expected to drop significantly on Saturday to 25% during the day, and further plummet on Sunday to just 6% during the day and 8% at night, as temperatures rise slightly to 27 degrees Celsius.

Minimum temperatures are projected to range from 5 to 10 degrees Celsius in the Atlas Mountains and from 19 to 23 degrees in the southern desert provinces, while other regions will see temperatures between 14 and 19 degrees. Moderate to relatively strong wind gusts are likely to affect the southern provinces, the Mediterranean coast, and the Tangier area. Meanwhile, the sea is expected to be calm to slightly rough in the Mediterranean and the Strait of Gibraltar, while it may be slightly rough to rough along the Atlantic coast.
