Weather Outlook for Wednesday in Morocco

On Wednesday, September 16, 2026, the General Directorate of Meteorology anticipates warm to moderately hot weather across various regions in Morocco, particularly in the southeastern areas, the desert provinces, the Moulouya Valley, the central plains, and the Souss region. The forecast suggests the formation of relatively thick low clouds, accompanied by patches of fog or very light rain over the Mediterranean front and the Atlantic coast and plains. There may also be sporadic rainfall in the southeastern areas and the high Atlas Mountains.

Moderate to relatively strong wind gusts are expected along the central coast and southern provinces, which may be accompanied by localized dust storms. Minimum temperatures are projected to range between 10 and 17 degrees Celsius in the Atlas Mountains and Rif region, while the central plains and southern provinces will see temperatures between 25 and 30 degrees Celsius. Other areas of the kingdom will experience minimum temperatures ranging from 17 to 24 degrees Celsius.

During the day, temperatures will slightly increase along the Mediterranean coast, the southeastern regions, and the desert provinces, while experiencing a decrease in other parts of the country. The sea conditions will vary, remaining calm to slightly agitated in the Mediterranean and the Strait of Gibraltar, but becoming rough between Assilah and Tarfaya. In the evening, the sea is expected to turn locally rough to very rough between Cape Tafelney and Tan-Tan, and slightly rough to rough between Dakhla and El Guera, becoming locally rough later in the evening.
