Wisconsin Football Program Appoints Morocco Brown as New General Manager

Wisconsin Badgers Welcome Morocco Brown as General Manager

MADISON – The Wisconsin football program has made a significant addition to its leadership team by appointing Morocco Brown as the new general manager. This crucial hire fills the gap left by Marcus Sedberry, who has been promoted to the position of interim athletic director. This strategic move comes at a pivotal moment for the Badgers, coinciding with a vital phase in their high school recruiting timeline. Recently, the team completed its inaugural weekend of official visits, with additional recruitment activities scheduled throughout June, highlighting the urgency and importance of Brown's role in shaping the future of the program.

Morocco Brown brings a wealth of experience to Wisconsin, having most recently served in the Indianapolis Colts organization, where he operated under general manager Chris Ballard, a notable alum of Wisconsin football. In his last position, Brown was the chief personnel executive for the Colts, a role he departed from in the previous spring. His reputation within the industry is well-established; he has been recognized as a strong candidate for general manager roles, having interviewed for such positions with the Atlanta Falcons in 2021 and with the Chicago Bears and Pittsburgh Steelers in 2022, as reported by the Indianapolis Star.

Before his tenure as the Colts' chief personnel director, Brown dedicated five seasons as the director of college scouting, showcasing his ability to identify and cultivate talent. His career also includes valuable experience in the personnel departments of the Cleveland Browns and the Washington Commanders, further solidifying his credentials in football operations. The addition of Morocco Brown is expected to enhance the Wisconsin Badgers' strategic approach in recruiting and organizational development.
