Wydad Athletic Club Excludes Election List for Non-Compliance with Legal Requirements
On July 20, 2026, Wydad Athletic Club announced that during a recent meeting, the club's board unanimously approved both the annual report and the financial report, setting the stage for their presentation to the members at the upcoming general assembly. This move is in accordance with the club's statutes and the relevant regulations governing its operations.
In relation to the electoral process, the club clarified that it had issued an official letter to the Greater Casablanca Football League to verify the legal standing of one member from the list led by Yassine Saadallah. This action reflects the club's commitment to ensuring adherence to the legal and regulatory frameworks that govern the election of its administrative bodies.
Furthermore, Wydad announced that it had received a formal response from the Greater Casablanca Football League confirming that Rashid Nfaai is currently the president of the Union of Barnoussi Football Club, which is a registered member of the league. As a result of this clarification, Wydad stated that Yassine Saadallah's list does not meet the eligibility requirements stipulated in the club's statutes and the regulations governing the electoral process, thus rendering it unacceptable for participation in the electoral event.
The club concluded its announcement by reaffirming its commitment to uphold the law and ensure equal opportunities for all candidates, thereby guaranteeing the integrity and transparency of the electoral process in the best interests of the club.
