In a recent operation conducted by the investigative team from the Al-Mahamid district in Marrakech, authorities apprehended a young man in his twenties who is suspected of involvement in drug trafficking. This arrest was made following a police chase after the suspect attempted to evade capture by law enforcement officers.
According to sources from the news outlet “anbaetv.ma,” the search conducted on the suspect revealed he was in possession of ten pieces of cannabis resin, commonly known as chira, as well as sixteen pills believed to be intended for distribution.
The individual has since been placed under police custody, pending an investigation led by the competent public prosecutor's office. This inquiry aims to uncover all circumstances and details surrounding this case, including any potential connections to broader criminal activities.
