In a significant operation conducted on Thursday, October 8, the local police in Fes, in close collaboration with the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance, apprehended a 20-year-old man suspected of being involved in a serious case of blackmail, defamation, and digital exploitation of a 15-year-old girl. The investigation revealed that the suspect had lured the young girl through social media, obtaining personal images from her. He then resorted to blackmailing her, threatening to expose these private photos. Disturbingly, it escalated to the point where he attempted to sell these sensitive images for as little as 20 dirhams each on social media platforms. The technical investigations and meticulous fieldwork conducted by the police led to the quick identification and arrest of the suspect.
