Zayed Foundation Contributions to Humanitarian Efforts in Gaza
The Zayed Foundation for People of Determination, in collaboration with the Community Contributions Authority - Together, has announced its participation in the "Hope Step" program, part of the "Brave Knight 3" initiative. This effort is aligned with the humanitarian endeavors of the United Arab Emirates, guided by its leadership, to support Palestinian brothers in the Gaza Strip and enhance recovery and sustainable rehabilitation programs.
The primary aim of the "Hope Step" program is to manufacture and install prosthetic limbs while providing physical therapy and rehabilitation services for individuals who have undergone limb amputations. This initiative is designed to help restore their mobility and improve their quality of life.
The Together Authority is responsible for funding the program, while the Zayed Foundation will implement it through its central workshop for prosthetics and orthopedics. Individuals of determination, alongside specialized national staff, will participate in the design and manufacturing of prosthetic limbs using Emirati hands, adhering to the highest global standards. This national model showcases their professional competencies and their active role in humanitarian work, contributing to restoring hope for amputees in Gaza.
Abdullah Abdul Ali Al-Humaidan, the Secretary-General of the Zayed Foundation for People of Determination, stated that the program embodies the UAE's vision of empowering individuals of determination and highlights their role as active partners in development and humanitarian work.
