ZONA Unveils 'The Moment': An Immersive Showcase in Marrakech

An Unforgettable Experience in Marrakech

After its inaugural edition left a lasting impression, ZONA is set to return to Marrakech on June 26, 2026, with a new event titled 'The Moment.' This showcase is part of an ambitious project aimed at elevating the city of Marrakech on the international electronic music stage, establishing it as a significant cultural and musical crossroads. This year, the event will once again take place at Playa Leon by Château Hakim, located near Chez Ali. The venue was chosen for its capacity to host immersive and scenographic formats, where music, light, and the surrounding environment harmoniously interact.

The goal of 'The Moment' is to offer a holistic experience, allowing the audience to move within a transformed space designed for both artistic performance and sensory perception. This immersive experience is intended to engage all the senses, creating a memorable atmosphere that transcends the traditional concert format.

A Diverse and International Lineup

'The Moment' will feature a lineup of artists hailing from various electronic music scenes, with a focus on melodic house and afro house genres. The programming aims to maintain a cohesive sound while showcasing complementary and contemporary aesthetics. Headlining the event is the Danish collective WhoMadeWho, who will present a hybrid live performance that combines electronic music with immersive sound narration. Their experimental stage approach is expected to be one of the highlights of this edition.

Additionally, South African producer Shimza, a prominent figure in the global afro-tech scene, will deliver a set designed for large international stages, characterized by rhythmic intensity and technical precision. South Africa will also be represented by Desiree, an emerging DJ and producer known for her high-energy afro house sets and distinct musical identity.

The lineup also includes emerging artists and established figures from local and regional scenes. Kenza Kayati and Staika represent this dynamic, each bringing a unique musical identity and strong Moroccan sensibility. This local dimension fosters a dialogue between international scenes and regional expressions, reinforcing the cultural foundation of the project.

According to ZONA's artistic direction, the aim is to position Morocco as a convergence point for major international electronic music scenes. This vision entails high production standards and an immersive approach to event planning, gradually establishing Marrakech as a key hub for electronic music in North Africa and the MENA region. The city is increasingly attracting artists, collectives, and international audiences.

Following a successful first edition that drew over 4,500 attendees, including more than 25% international visitors, ZONA is set to expand its reach and anticipates an even larger turnout for this new edition. The presale for 'The Moment' has already seen remarkable success and is sold out, confirming the event's growing popularity. A new phase of ticket sales has opened, with limited tickets available starting at 850 dirhams.
