The accident took place around 1:15 a.m. on an unnamed county road located within the Willow Slough Fish and Wildlife Area. Emergency responders were alerted to the scene after receiving reports of a severe ORV crash.

The operator of the vehicle, identified as 35-year-old Lindsay Haaland from Morocco, was found trapped beneath the ORV and was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
