14th Edition of the Oudayas Summer Festival

The 14th edition of the International Arts and Culture Festival, known as the "Oudayas Summer Festival," is scheduled to take place in Rabat from August 9 to August 12. This vibrant cultural event will be hosted along the picturesque Bouregreg corniche, promising an exciting array of performances and artistic showcases that celebrate the region's rich heritage.

This year's festival is organized by the Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication in collaboration with the National Music Committee, which is a member of the International Council of Music (CIM) and an official partner of UNESCO. The event receives additional support from the Wilaya of the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region, ensuring a well-coordinated and celebratory atmosphere for attendees. According to the organizers, a diverse lineup of artists will grace the stage, providing a unique cultural experience for all.

The festival will kick off with a special performance by acclaimed artist Fouad Zbadi, who will be honored with the "Festival Trophy." Additionally, an homage will be paid to the esteemed artist Mahmoud Megri for his significant contributions to the arts. The opening night will also feature performances from renowned artists Ayoub Tijani and Fatima Zahra Laaroussi, accompanied by the Intercultural Orchestra of Morocco, under the direction of maestro Hamza Amazgar.

A Festive Line-Up of Talent

As the festival progresses, attendees can look forward to a variety of concerts showcasing both traditional and contemporary Moroccan music. The second night will spotlight Sami Kasba, who will receive the "Hassan Megri Award," alongside the project "Nostalgia" and performances from artists Farid Ghannam and the maalem gnaoui Hamid El Kasri. The third night promises an electrifying performance by rapper Uzi, along with Nasser Megri and rapper 7liwa, who will be recognized with the award for Best Rapper. The festival will conclude with an energetic chaâbi music finale featuring Salaheddine Majdouli, the Twam group, and Abdelmoughit, who will be awarded the Cheikh Chaabi Prize.

This exciting cultural gathering not only aims to entertain but also promotes the preservation and appreciation of Moroccan artistic traditions, making it a must-visit event for both locals and tourists alike.
