Expansion of Primary Healthcare in Morocco
On September 8, 2026, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection announced the launch of 15 new primary healthcare facilities across six regions in Morocco. This development is part of a national initiative aimed at enhancing the quality and accessibility of healthcare services. These establishments have been rehabilitated and equipped under a comprehensive program designed to upgrade the healthcare offer in the country. The new facilities are expected to serve a population of over 375,677 residents, supported by a dedicated team of 50 healthcare professionals who will ensure that the needs of the community are adequately met.
The regions benefiting from this enhancement include Casablanca-Settat, Guelmim-Oued Noun, Béni Mellal-Khénifra, l’Oriental, Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma, and Marrakech-Safi. This strategic distribution of healthcare services is aimed at addressing the healthcare needs of diverse populations across Morocco, ensuring that all citizens have access to essential medical services, and ultimately improving the overall health status of the nation.
