The meteorological forecasts predict that this exceptional heat wave will persist starting from today, Tuesday, and lasting until next Wednesday, with a heightened alert level raised to orange. Record high temperatures are expected to range between 42 and 46 degrees Celsius in the regions of Tata, Smara, Assa-Zag, Boujdour, Oued Eddahab, and Awsard. Other regions will experience elevated temperatures between 38 and 42 degrees Celsius, including areas such as Chichaoua, Guelmim, Laayoune, Taroudant, Tan-Tan, Tiznit, Sidi Ifni, and Tarfaya, alongside extensive zones encompassing Marrakech, Sidi Slimane, Kenitra, Khouribga, Settat, Beni Mellal, Fkih Ben Saleh, Taounate, Sidi Kassem, Khenifra, Larache, Wazzan, Qalat Sraghna, Rahamna, Khmissat, Meknes, Fez, and Moulay Yacoub.

The warnings are not limited to rising temperatures; the bulletin also cautions against the possibility of thunderstorm rain showers, with expected precipitation amounts ranging from 25 to 35 mm. These showers may be accompanied by hail and strong wind gusts occurring between 2 PM and 11 PM in areas such as Midelt, Khenifra, Ifrane, Fkih Ben Saleh, Ouarzazate, Taroudant, Figuig, Settat, Azilal, Khouribga, Beni Mellal, Tinghir, Qalat Sraghna, Marrakech, Rahamna, Al Haouz, Chichaoua, and Boulemane.

In light of these severe weather conditions, the road company has provided specific recommendations for users traveling along routes near the sections connecting Assilah, Rabat, Taza, Casablanca, Beni Mellal, Berrechid, and Agadir. The recommendations emphasize the importance of checking traffic conditions before deciding to travel, as well as regularly monitoring the technical status of their vehicles by inspecting tires, coolant levels, and engine oil to prevent sudden breakdowns. Furthermore, it underscores the necessity of taking breaks every two hours of driving and regularly hydrating to avoid heat exhaustion and ensure safe travel.
