2026 Africa Futsal Cup of Nations Set for Morocco

The highly anticipated Africa Futsal Cup of Nations 2026 is scheduled to take place from October 12 to 21 in Morocco. This event marks the third consecutive time the Kingdom is hosting this prestigious tournament, with matches set to unfold in the vibrant capital city of Rabat. The competition will be held at two notable venues: the Moulay Abdellah Sports Hall and the Ibn Yassine Hall.

Group Stages and Morocco's Ambition

Eight national teams will compete in this edition of the Cup, divided into two groups of four. The host nation, Morocco, will compete in Group A alongside Algeria, Zambia, and Libya. Meanwhile, Group B consists of Egypt, Angola, Mozambique, and Tanzania. As a three-time African champion, having clinched the title in 2016, 2020, and 2024, Morocco enters this tournament with the strong ambition of securing a fourth consecutive continental title.

The Lions of the Atlas, under the guidance of coach Hicham Dguig, will kick off their campaign against Algeria next Monday. Following this crucial match, they will face Zambia on October 14 and Libya on October 16. All three group stage matches for the national team are scheduled to take place at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex.

Playing on home turf, the Lions are determined to defend their African crown and continue their dominance in continental futsal.
