Exciting Developments for the 2026 LET Qualifying School

The Ladies European Tour (LET) has officially announced the schedule for its 2026 Qualifying School, unveiling an exciting array of new venues and opportunities for aspiring female golfers. This year, the qualifying events will feature three new locations, including a Pre-Qualifier in Thailand and a much-anticipated return to Marrakech, Morocco. Over the course of the competition, players will have the chance to showcase their skills across seven different venues, with the tournament structured in two stages to maximize participation.

One of the standout additions to this year’s schedule is the LET Qualifying School Pre-Qualifier – Asia, which will be held at the renowned Lotus Valley Golf Resort in Bangkok. This 18-hole championship course, designed by the legendary Gary Player, offers a par-72 layout and accommodates a maximum of 120 participants, thereby providing a valuable chance for golfers from the Asia Pacific region to demonstrate their talents. Since its inception in 2008, Lotus Valley has firmly established itself as one of Thailand's premier golfing destinations.

In Marrakech, the Lalla Aicha Pre-Qualifier will span four different golf courses, with competitors vying for a spot at either the Noria Golf Club Marrakech, The Montgomerie Marrakech, SAMANAH Golf by Nicklaus, or Akenza Golf. Notably, The Montgomerie Marrakech and Akenza Golf have been newly added to the roster. The Montgomerie Marrakech, a par-71 course that opened in 2014, is strategically located just five minutes from the iconic Jemaa el Fnaa square, offering stunning views of both the Atlas Mountains and the Koutoubia. Meanwhile, Akenza Golf Resort, which debuted in 2025, presents a unique challenge with eight holes that traverse natural wadis and rocky canyons, all set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Atlas Mountains.

The culmination of the qualifying events will take place at the 90-hole Lalla Aicha Qualifying School Final Qualifier, returning to the prestigious Al Maaden Golf Marrakech and Royal Golf Marrakech venues. The final round is set to be hosted once again at Al Maaden, providing an exhilarating finish to the competition.

Di Barnard, the Director of Operations at the LET, expressed enthusiasm regarding the new schedule, emphasizing the importance of Marrakech as a nurturing ground for emerging female golfers. "The Lalla Aicha Qualifying School is an exhilarating and nerve-wracking experience that opens the door for talented female golfers to pursue their dreams of professional competition alongside the sport's elite. We are grateful for the continued support from our partners at the Marrakech Golf Association, which has been instrumental in making this event possible," she stated.

Notably, world-renowned golfer Jeeno Thitikul from Thailand, who has made her mark as a five-time LET winner and the youngest champion in the Tour’s history, encouraged fellow golfers to seize the opportunity to participate in the Lalla Aicha Tour Q-School. Thitikul shared her love for the LET, reminiscing about her journey from competing in the LET to qualifying for the LPGA. "The standard on the LET is continually improving, and it’s inspiring to see more Thai players joining and thriving in this competitive environment," she remarked.
