Exciting Developments for the 6th Global Week of Francophone Science
The 6th Global Week of Francophone Scientific Community, an event of significant stature, will take place from October 12 to 15, 2026, in Agadir, Morocco. This prestigious event is organized by the Agency of Francophone Universities, which is the largest university network in the world, and is held under the high patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI. Over the course of four days, Agadir will serve as a hub for students, researchers, doctoral candidates, university leaders, and political figures from the Francophone world.
This year's edition promises to be a pivotal gathering for the Francophone academic community, featuring a rich agenda that includes the 4th Congress of Francophone Student Youth, the 6th Conference of Francophone Scientific Community, a cooperation program, the 6th Francophone Ministerial Conference, and the 3rd edition of the Summer University of Francophonie. The event will host around thirty ministers, several hundred decision-makers, and over 300 professors, researchers, students, and Francophone experts from across the globe, all converging at the luxurious Sofitel Agadir Royal Bay Resort, located in the picturesque Palm Bay of Agadir.
This initiative is further supported by the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research, and Innovation, along with the Prefecture of Agadir Ida Outanane, the Souss Massa Region, and Ibnou Zohr University. The collaborative effort underscores the importance of scientific discourse and cooperation in the Francophone world, fostering a vibrant exchange of ideas and innovations.
