A Unforgettable Evening of Music and Heritage
On the evening of Saturday, May 30th, the open-air theater in Agadir hosted an extraordinary cultural event titled "Ashkad Anhush." This first-of-its-kind artistic evening was brought to life by the talented artist Hicham Messine, who captivated the audience from start to finish with his vibrant performance. In front of a large and enthusiastic crowd exceeding three thousand attendees from various families, the artist succeeded in igniting the spirits of those present, transforming their voices into a harmonious wave that created a unique sense of unity and connection. The interaction between the artist and the audience reached such a level that it felt as if there was only one voice resonating from the stage amidst an atmosphere filled with lights and beauty.
The evening showcased a remarkable display of Amazigh musical heritage in its various forms, encompassing both the classic styles represented by the "Rways" and the contemporary songs performed by emerging young artists. The concept encouraged the audience to engage in collective singing, reminiscent of global and Arab experiences; however, this rendition in the Amazigh language took on a more poetic character, reflecting the profound cultural and artistic depth that embodies the richness of the Amazigh legacy.
This innovative initiative, inspired by the Amazigh heritage, underscores the cultural and artistic fertility that the Moroccan nation boasts, characterized by its diverse expressions, rhythms, and melodies. The success of this brilliant idea is attributed to its creator, journalist Aziz El Amari, the general director of the International Festival of Cinema and Migration, organized by the Cultural Initiative Association. His organizational and creative acumen, along with the participation of the Amazigh music star Hicham Messine, contributed to an evening that will remain etched in the memories of those who attended.
