Concerns Over Drinking Water Access in Fes-Meknes

Many of these communities either lack connections to the drinking water network or experience inadequate supply, which directly impacts their daily lives. The reliance on wells, traditional springs, or purchasing water through costly means exacerbates the suffering of families, particularly during the summer months and periods of drought.
Al-Saqi further pointed out that this precarious situation not only affects the social and health stability of these communities but also diminishes the attractiveness of the region for both settlement and investment. In her inquiry, she pressed the Minister for information on the measures and strategies that the ministry, in coordination with various stakeholders, is implementing to ensure the connection of all villages in the Fes-Meknes region to the drinking water network, addressing the critical need for this essential service.
