Agadir Hosts Inaugural Sakankom Real Estate and Construction Expo

Inauguration of Sakankom: A New Dawn for Real Estate in Agadir

The Sakankom International Real Estate, Construction, and Public Works Expo has officially commenced in Agadir, marking a significant milestone in the region of Souss-Massa's ambition to establish itself as a key player in real estate investment and territorial development. Taking place over three days, the event, organized by the Industricom Group, is themed "Agadir Souss-Massa: A Territory in Full Transformation, Engine of Growth, Investment, and Economic Development." This expo brings together major public and private stakeholders from the real estate ecosystem, including construction, urban planning, land development, investment, and financing sectors.

The primary objective of the expo is to support the ongoing development dynamic in Agadir and its surrounding region while showcasing significant structural projects and investment opportunities that can attract both national and international investors. More than 50 real estate developers are participating in this inaugural edition, alongside key players from the construction industry, banks, financial institutions, architects, consulting firms, and solution providers. Visitors have the opportunity to explore residential programs, professional real estate projects, innovations in construction techniques, and financing solutions tailored to diverse buyer and investor profiles.

Creating Partnerships and Showcasing Innovations

During the event, Hicham Rahioui Idrissi, the CEO of Industricom Group, emphasized that Sakankom serves as a professional platform designed to facilitate interactions among various sector stakeholders. He noted that the expo provides a conducive environment for investors, developers, consulting firms, financial institutions, and professionals to forge new partnerships and explore promising investment prospects. Rahioui Idrissi also highlighted the diverse range of real estate projects on display, alongside innovative construction and design solutions, asserting that the event serves as a showcase for the opportunities available in different regions of the Kingdom.

Zahra Guighir, representing the Regional Directorate of Housing and Urban Policy of Souss-Massa, presented key programs being implemented at the regional level. These initiatives focus on urban policy, urban upgrading, enhancement of infrastructure and public spaces, and direct housing assistance programs, all aimed at improving the living conditions of citizens and strengthening access to quality housing. Said Dor, the President of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Services of Souss-Massa, reiterated that the construction sector remains one of the main engines of economic development, highlighting its central role in the realization of major infrastructures, including ports, airports, road networks, and housing projects.

Idriss Boutti, president of the regional section of CGEM Souss-Massa, echoed these sentiments, labeling Sakankom as a pioneering initiative for the region. He described the vibrancy of the construction sector as a key indicator of the economic vitality of a territory.

Among the exhibitors is MOBINA, represented by architect Leila El Mokhlis, who explained that their participation in the expo primarily aimed to enhance the company's presence in the regional market. She stated, "Our participation was primarily focused on increasing our brand's visibility in Agadir, showcasing our real estate projects, and establishing direct contact with visitors as well as professionals in the construction and real estate sectors. This expo also provided an excellent opportunity to listen to market expectations and present our vision for real estate development." El Mokhlis expressed that this first participation met the company's expectations, allowing them to enhance their visibility and strengthen brand recognition among the public. Furthermore, they engaged in numerous quality exchanges with potential clients and partners, reinforcing the importance of such events in Agadir for the growth of their business.

El Mokhlis also emphasized MOBINA's positioning, which focuses on projects that combine construction quality, contemporary architecture, and optimization of living spaces. She remarked, "We pay particular attention to finishes, the selection of strategic locations, and the creation of real value for our clients. Our ambition is to offer properties that meet the expectations of both families and investors, providing an excellent balance between comfort, quality, and long-term appreciation potential." Beyond its exhibition aspect, Sakankom aims to become a genuine crossroads for encounters among investors, public decision-makers, private operators, project holders, and institutional partners. The organizers hope to foster the emergence of economically impactful partnerships and contribute to enhancing the attractiveness of Agadir and the Souss-Massa region in a context marked by significant development and land-use planning projects.
