Celebrating Tradition and Piety in Tililt
The annual Moussem marking the end of activities at the Sidi Ahmed El Jidi Traditional School took place on Monday in the Imsouane commune within the Agadir Ida-Outanane prefecture. This significant event unfolded in a setting filled with devotion, attended by the wali of the Souss-Massa region, Saaïd Amzazi, alongside local scholars, religious leaders, and various dignitaries from both civil and military sectors.
During the closing ceremony, there was a strong emphasis on the pivotal role that traditional educational institutions play in the memorization of the Holy Quran and the impartation of essential religious values characterized by piety and tolerance. The Moussem featured recitations of Quranic verses and praises for the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon Him), alongside various educational, cultural, and sporting activities. Students who successfully completed their memorization of the Holy Quran were also awarded encouragement prizes.
As the event drew to a close, attendees raised their hands in prayer, beseeching God to protect His Majesty King Mohammed VI and to bestow blessings upon the royal family, including His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan and His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid. Prayers were also offered for the souls of the late King Mohammed V and the late King Hassan II, reflecting a deep sense of respect and reverence for the country's history and leadership.
