Agadir to Welcome the Fourth Edition of TOC Afrique

In a significant celebration of culinary excellence, Agadir is poised to host the fourth edition of the prestigious TOC Afrique from September 22 to 24, 2026. This remarkable event will unite three of Africa's most esteemed culinary competitions: the Bocuse d’Or Afrique, the Coupe d’Afrique de la Pâtisserie, and La Liste Afrique. Organized by Rahal Event and held under the auspices of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, this gathering promises to be a highlight in the continent's culinary calendar.

Exciting Competition Schedule and Participants

The event will unfold across several prime locations in the Agadir region, starting with the Domaine Limoune on September 22, where the La Liste Afrique ceremony will take place. This ceremony honors the finest restaurants and culinary talents across Africa. Following this, the competitions will shift to the Palais des Congrès Les Dunes d’Or in Taghazout Bay. On September 23, the venue will host the Pâtisserie Cup, culminating on September 24 with the Bocuse d’Or Afrique, a continental extension of the renowned competition established by the legendary Lyon chef Paul Bocuse in 1987. Teams will be challenged to showcase their skills within a rigorous timeframe of five hours and thirty minutes under the scrutiny of a professional jury.

This year, six nations will compete for the prestigious continental titles. In the field of pastry, Morocco will go head-to-head with Algeria, Egypt, Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, and Mauritius. Meanwhile, in the Bocuse d’Or Afrique category, the Moroccan team will face off against competitors from Tunisia, Egypt, Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, and Mauritius.

Morocco enters this competition not only as a proud host but also as the reigning champion in both categories, having secured both titles at the 2024 edition held in Marrakech. Chef Abdessamad Dandani will lead the Moroccan Bocuse d’Or Afrique team, supported by commis Ahmed El Hilali and coach Issam Rhachi, with Rachid Maftouh serving as president. In the pastry arena, the Moroccan representatives will include El Mehdi Benbiga competing in the chocolate category and Mourad Msour in the sugar category, under the guidance of team president Mohamed El Yazidi.
