On September 5, 2026, Air Corsica announced the resumption of direct flights to Casablanca from Bastia, marking a significant return after a year-long break in 2025. This limited-time service will offer flights to Morocco's economic capital for four weeks during the autumn season, with the inaugural flight set to take off on October 11, 2026. According to programming data published by AeroRoutes, passengers can expect a weekly flight scheduled until November 1, utilizing the Airbus A320neo.
It is important to note that this return is not a permanent route reinstatement, as Air Corsica had previously suspended this service in 2025. Nevertheless, the airline is well-acquainted with the Moroccan market; in the winter of 2026, it had already organized several direct flights connecting both Ajaccio and Bastia to Marrakech and Fès. Notably, the Bastia to Marrakech route was operational between February 28 and March 7.
Expanding Connectivity to Morocco
In addition to the upcoming Casablanca flights, Air Corsica has been actively expanding its operations to Morocco. Starting in 2023, the airline provided flights to Marrakech from Bastia, Figari, and Ajaccio, particularly during the Toussaint holidays and throughout November. This latest route to Casablanca not only facilitates direct travel for Moroccans residing in Corsica but also caters to seasonal workers. For several years, Air Corsica has been offering chartered flights to transport Moroccan laborers engaged in the Corsican harvests.
A total of four round-trip flights are scheduled between Bastia and Casablanca on October 11, 18, and 25, as well as November 1. The continuation of this service will depend on future adjustments to Air Corsica’s flight schedule.
