Tunisian football coach Nasreddine Nabi has initiated legal proceedings against his former club, Raja Casablanca, due to unresolved financial obligations that have reportedly arisen following his departure from the club. Nabi, who recently parted ways with the Moroccan football giants just a month prior to the commencement of the new Botola Pro season, has cited a fallout with Sporting Director Rogerio Matias as a contributing factor to his exit. Sources indicate that Nabi is seeking the full amount of his salary for the season, which is estimated to be around 422 million centimes, equating to approximately R7.2 million.
Having joined Raja Casablanca during the last month of the 2025/26 season, Nabi was unable to lead the team to the championship, resulting in a third-place finish in the league. Following his departure, it is reported that Nabi's legal representative is preparing to file a complaint with FIFA's Disputes Committee. This complaint will challenge the contractual clause that permitted the unilateral termination of his contract in exchange for two months' salary, a stipulation that Nabi contests.
In the wake of Nabi's exit, Raja Casablanca has swiftly moved to appoint a new head coach, with Paco Jémez taking over the managerial role. The club is set to kick off its league campaign against AS FAR Rabat on September 24.
