Akhannouch Presides Over Government Council Meeting
On April 10, 2026, a significant meeting of the government council took place under the leadership of Aziz Akhannouch. According to a statement from the Minister Delegate for Relations with Parliament, who also serves as the government spokesperson, the council reviewed two draft organic laws and a draft decree pertaining to military affairs. These proposals are set to be presented at the upcoming ministerial council. Specifically, the first organic law seeks to amend and supplement the existing organic law No. 111.14 regarding regions, while the second aims to amend and supplement organic law No. 02.12, which governs appointments to senior positions, in accordance with articles 49 and 92 of the constitution. Additionally, the draft decree addresses the status of military attachés and their assistants, along with other military personnel assigned to work with them.
