Alix Ragot and Serafina DBH Shine at Rabat's CSIO 4*-W

In an impressive display of equestrian skill, French rider Alix Ragot clinched victory in the major event of the first day of competition at the CSIO 4*-W Rabat, which is the second leg of the Morocco Royal Tour. Held on Thursday, this thrilling contest featured jumps reaching heights of 1.45 meters, with the course designed by the renowned Spanish course designer Santiago Varela. Alix Ragot, riding the talented Serafina DBH, a nine-year-old mare, achieved the fastest clear round with a time of 67.74 seconds. This marks the fourth international victory for both the rider and her mount in events contributing to the Longines world ranking.

Serafina DBH, a striking daughter of Stakkato Gold, has shown remarkable promise, having previously competed under the guidance of Olympic bronze medalist Olivier Perreau. Just weeks prior to this triumph, the pair secured another win at a 1.45m event during the CSI 3* Brussels Stephex Masters. Their successful partnership was also highlighted by a previous win in a 1* Grand Prix at 1.40m during the same Moroccan competition two years ago. Following closely behind in the competition, Spanish duo Pello Elorduy Ibarzabal and Champenoise de Rampan claimed second place with a time of 68.89 seconds. Completing the podium for Germany, Harm Lahde secured third with a time of 69.73 seconds riding GSI Sir Dominator.

Other notable performances included French riders Arthur Le Vot and Olivier Perreau, who finished in tenth and twelfth places, respectively. Le Vot, aboard Haristo du Gué, clocked in at 74.39 seconds, while Perreau managed a faultless round on Léopard des Joanins, finishing in 75.01 seconds. This event further solidifies the stature of Alix Ragot and her equine partner as a formidable force in the competitive equestrian arena.
