Arkia Airlines to Reopen Direct Flights from Tel Aviv to Marrakech After Three-Year Hiatus

Resumption of Direct Flights Marks New Era for Travel Between Israel and Morocco

Israeli airline Arkia has announced the highly anticipated resumption of direct flights connecting Tel Aviv and Marrakech, set to commence on August 24, 2026. This decision comes after a significant three-year suspension attributed to ongoing regional conflicts. According to reports from Israeli media, the airline plans to operate flights twice a week, specifically on Mondays and Wednesdays, utilizing Airbus A320 aircraft for this route.

The one-way fare for travelers will start at $329, with flight durations expected to range between five to six hours, arriving at the Marrakech Menara Airport. Arkia officials have indicated that the opening of this route follows extensive coordination with both aviation and security authorities, ensuring a safe and efficient travel experience for passengers.

Moreover, it is essential for Israeli passport holders to be aware that a visa is required for entry into Morocco. The Tel Aviv to Marrakech route was initially launched in 2021 and had previously been serviced by other airlines, including Israir and El Al, which offered three weekly flights prior to the suspension.
