The judicial police elements from the regional security office of Mechraâ Bel Ksiri conducted an operation on Saturday, April 4, leading to the arrest of an individual suspected of involvement in a case of attempted voluntary homicide. This operation was executed in collaboration with their counterparts in Casablanca and was based on information provided by the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance.
The investigation was launched following a serious assault on a woman in the Sidi Maârouf neighborhood of Casablanca, where the suspect reportedly inflicted severe injuries upon her using a sharp weapon. The comprehensive investigations enabled the authorities to locate and apprehend the accused in the city of Mechraâ Bel Ksiri.
Currently placed in police custody, the suspect is now subject to a judicial inquiry overseen by the competent prosecutor's office, aimed at clarifying all circumstances surrounding this case and determining the exact motivations behind this criminal act.
