Police Apprehend Suspect in Disturbing Incident
On Friday, October 2, 2026, members of the motorcycle unit from the Agadir Security Region successfully arrested a man with a criminal history, who was living on the streets, on suspicion of involvement in a case of intoxication and intentional harm using a caustic substance. This arrest was prompted by a video circulating on social media, showing the suspect spraying a caustic substance on the face of another individual inside a fast-food establishment in Agadir.
Following the identification of the suspect through immediate investigative efforts, authorities were able to apprehend him in a short period of time. During the subsequent search, police discovered a bottle containing the caustic substance that is believed to have been used for the purpose of intoxication, which has been retained for further investigation.
By order of the competent public prosecutor, the suspect has been placed under provisional detention to continue the judicial inquiry.
