Investigation Launched Following Disturbing Find in Fes
Local authorities and security services in the city of Fes were put on high alert Thursday evening after the grim discovery of two decomposed bodies of men found in separate residences. This unsettling situation arose when neighbors reported a foul odor emanating from the homes, prompting them to notify the relevant authorities.
According to available information, the first body was uncovered in a house located in the Al-Mustaqbal neighborhood, under the jurisdiction of the Zouagha district. This body belonged to a 56-year-old man and was discovered at approximately 4:30 PM. The condition of the body indicated that it had been in an advanced state of decomposition.
In a similar incident, authorities found the second body of a 68-year-old man in his apartment in the Qal'ia area of the Jnan Al-Ward district around 8 PM. This discovery was also triggered by reports of unusual odors coming from the residence.
Upon receiving the alerts, local officials and national police quickly arrived at the scene. They cordoned off the areas surrounding both incidents and initiated the necessary legal procedures. The bodies were subsequently transported to a morgue for examination and further procedures.
Additionally, specialized services undertook disinfection operations in both residences to ensure public health safety. Meanwhile, security agencies began an investigation under the supervision of the relevant public prosecutor's office to ascertain the causes of death and to uncover all circumstances and details surrounding these incidents.
