Azziz Akhnouch Emphasizes Party's Achievements and Voter Responsibility
Azziz Akhnouch, a prominent leader of the National Rally of Independents party, recently declared that his party approaches the current electoral process bolstered by a five-year track record of accomplishments. He affirmed that the commitments made during the 2021 elections have indeed been fulfilled and emphasized that the decision-making power now lies with the citizens. During an electoral gathering held in the region of Chiadma in the Essaouira province, Akhnouch articulated that this pivotal moment requires voters to assess the progress achieved over the past five years and to choose candidates they believe are capable of managing the forthcoming phase, underscoring the critical importance of participation and voting.
Akhnouch highlighted the direct social support initiative, revealing that over 70,000 families in the Essaouira province are currently benefitting from this program. He elaborated on a new direction aimed at enabling beneficiaries to access the job market without the immediate risk of losing their support. He explained that social support recipients will have the opportunity to work for a year while still receiving assistance, with the overarching goal of encouraging them to seek employment opportunities and enhance their incomes without the fear of losing their social aid. He further stated that if a beneficiary secures stable employment and improves their income, they can continue their professional journey while also retaining the option to revert to the support system in case they lose their job or face challenges in maintaining their employment. This initiative is designed to transform social support from mere financial assistance into a mechanism for empowerment and sustained engagement.
Plans for Health and Education Sectors
Turning to health initiatives, Akhnouch announced that the construction of a new hospital in Essaouira is expected to commence by the end of the year, with an estimated completion timeline of two and a half years. He also pointed out the future necessity of enhancing healthcare services in the Chiadma region to alleviate the pressure on health facilities located in Essaouira. Regarding education, he remarked on the reforms initiated by the government, which have set the educational system on a new trajectory. He praised the academic results achieved within the province and the commendable efforts of educational staff. Akhnouch noted that the expansion of the 'Leadership Schools' model has reached 80% of primary schools and 50% of middle schools for the current school year, with plans for broader implementation in the coming year.
Politically, Akhnouch reiterated that his party is entering this electoral phase based on what he considers a record of accomplished commitments, asserting that the National Rally of Independents is returning to voters after fulfilling its promises made in 2021. He also criticized certain practices related to candidacies and shifts in political affiliations, asserting that his party will not engage in these tactics and will actively combat practices that undermine political integrity and respect for voter choices. He concluded by reinforcing that the final decision rests with the citizens, urging voters to safeguard their votes and make their choices based on the achievements of the past years and their expectations for the future.
