In an Instagram story, Sophie recounted her "nerve-wracking ordeal" during the luggage inspection. She explained that she was escorted by authorities to an office where the drone was confiscated. On a positive note, it was confirmed that the drone would be returned to her upon their return to France, provided she pays a small fee for storage. This dramatic start to their trip marks the beginning of a new chapter for the couple, who have been together since early 2026 after over two decades of friendship.
The customs hiccup was just the beginning of a series of misadventures. Camille humorously summarized the situation, mentioning that they had experienced "72,000 mishaps" since their departure. The group, consisting of the two moms and their seven children combined, first faced a vehicle breakdown that was supposed to transport them to the airport. After finally getting through customs, they encountered yet another setback: there were no shops available, forcing the group to settle for chips and sodas while they waited. To top it all off, their flight from France to Marrakech also experienced delays.
Despite this string of challenges, the blended family eventually reached their destination and can now fully enjoy their Moroccan holiday.
