Comprehensive Slaughtering Services for Eid al-Adha in Casablanca

In a significant move to enhance the experience of Eid al-Adha celebrations, Casablanca is set to provide a professional and compliant slaughtering service at its municipal slaughterhouses for the upcoming 2026 festivities. This initiative, announced by the local development company Casablanca Prestations, aims to meet all health and safety standards while offering a convenient option for residents. The service will be available at a fixed price of 240 dirhams, inclusive of taxes, and will be conducted at the municipal slaughterhouses located in Sidi Othmane.

Furthermore, Casablanca Prestations will also offer an animal boarding service, allowing residents to keep their livestock in a safe environment for up to 48 hours prior to the day of sacrifice, specifically on May 25 and 26. This service will be charged at a rate of 24 dirhams per night, also tax-inclusive. This initiative is particularly beneficial for families who may lack adequate space at home to carry out the traditional rites associated with Eid al-Adha.

Maintaining a focus on hygiene and sanitation, all slaughtering operations will be handled by qualified personnel who adhere strictly to current health regulations and quality standards. The facilities within the slaughterhouse will be designed to ensure animal welfare, allowing livestock to rest comfortably before the sacrificial process. The overarching goal of this initiative is to promote a clean, secure, and organized environment for the observance of this important religious holiday.

In addition to the slaughtering services, the Municipality of Casablanca and Casablanca Prestations are committed to raising awareness about hygiene and sanitation during the Eid celebrations. This includes managing waste effectively, ensuring the cleanliness of public spaces, and protecting the urban environment.

Moreover, the municipal slaughterhouses have received approval from the National Office for Food Safety (ONSSA) and hold dual certifications under ISO 22000:2018 and ISO 9001:2015 standards, along with a Halal certification. This showcases their unwavering commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in food safety and management practices, ensuring that the services offered during Eid al-Adha are not only compliant but also of the highest quality.
