Significant Growth in Canadian Travel to Casablanca

According to the latest annual report from FlightHub, released on September 29, there has been a remarkable surge in bookings from Canada to Casablanca, with an astonishing increase of nearly 250%. This data, which compares travel reservations from October 2025 to August 2026 against the same period in the previous year, highlights a staggering growth rate of 249.7% for the Moroccan city.

Casablanca not only outshines many other emerging destinations, but it also significantly surpasses Liberia, Costa Rica, which has seen a growth of 144.9%. FlightHub emphasizes the unique case of Casablanca, attributing this impressive rise to the expansion of flight routes connecting Canada to the city.

The report draws attention to the direct flights established between Montreal and Casablanca, as well as Toronto and Casablanca. The economic capital of Morocco is clearly benefiting from enhanced connectivity with Canadian cities, particularly due to the new direct route launched by Royal Air Maroc from Toronto.

It’s important to note that these statistics are based on bookings made through FlightHub and do not account for official tourist arrivals in Casablanca or the proportion of family visits. This trend indicates a significant shift in travel preferences among Canadians, moving away from traditional destinations such as the United States and increasingly favoring Morocco.
