Casablanca Stock Exchange Sees Positive Gains
On Wednesday, May 6, 2026, the Casablanca Stock Exchange concluded its trading session with a notable increase. Sector-wise, the highest performances were recorded in the indices for Engineering and Industrial Equipment (+8.25%), Health (+4.6%), and Transport Services (+4.29%). In contrast, the sectors of Distributors (-1.66%) and Transport (-0.22%) were the only ones to finish the day in the negative territory. The overall trading volume was reported at 408.67 million dirhams, predominantly generated through transactions in the central "Actions" market, with significant trading seen in stocks such as Managem (81.02 million dirhams), Attijariwafa Bank (45.96 million dirhams), and Akdital (33.59 million dirhams).
The market capitalization of the Casablanca Stock Exchange now stands at an impressive 1.081 trillion dirhams. Notable individual stock performances included Stroc Industrie, which surged by 9.8% to 218.5 dirhams, followed by Stokvis Nord Afrique (+7.32% to 86.39 dirhams), M2M Group (+7.26% to 441.9 dirhams), Zellidja S.A (+5.98% to 217.25 dirhams), and Maghrebail (+5.96% to 924 dirhams). Conversely, the largest declines were observed in Label Vie (-2.41% to 4,050 dirhams), Dari Couspate (-2.15% to 4,100 dirhams), Salafin (-2% to 440 dirhams), Microdata (-1.32% to 750 dirhams), and Crédit du Maroc (-1.07% to 1,021 dirhams).
