Sector performance was varied; the "Transport Services" sector led with a notable 3.87% increase, followed closely by the "Food Production" sector at 3.86% and the "Agricultural Industry" sector at 3.38%. Conversely, the "Forestry and Paper" sector saw a decline of 3.32%, alongside the "Beverages" sector at a loss of 0.48% and the "Real Estate Investment Trusts" sector, which fell by 0.23%.
Trading Volumes and Individual Stock Performances
Trading volumes for the day exceeded 851.71 million dirhams, predominantly occurring on the central "Equities" market. Notably, transactions were heavily influenced by Attijariwafa Bank, which recorded 311.34 million dirhams, followed by Itissalat Al-Maghrib with 175.68 million dirhams, and Résidences Dar Saada at 98.37 million dirhams. The overall market capitalization was registered at over 982.62 billion dirhams.
On an individual stock basis, Sanlam Morocco demonstrated the most significant increase, soaring by 9.17% to 2,500 dirhams. Other notable gainers included Lesieur Cristal, which rose by 8.81% to 420 dirhams, SMI with a 6.16% increase to 6,115 dirhams, Eqdom surging by 5.89% to 1,330 dirhams, and Résidences Dar Saada gaining 5.85% to settle at 149.25 dirhams. In contrast, the most considerable losses were seen in AFMA and Promopharm, both down by 5.95% to 1,185 dirhams and 1,343 dirhams respectively, while Oulmès fell by 5.65% to 1,168 dirhams, Maghreb Oxygène decreased by 4.5% to 381 dirhams, and AGMA dropped by 4.17% to 6,555 dirhams.
