Underground Atlanta, the vibrant historical entertainment hub located in the heart of Downtown, is gearing up to host an exhilarating two-day Moroccan fan celebration on Upper Alabama Street. Scheduled for Tuesday, June 23, and Wednesday, June 24, this event promises to be a captivating prelude to Morocco's Group C match against Haiti at Atlanta Stadium. The festivities will be open to the public free of charge, featuring a delightful array of authentic Moroccan cuisine, live music, cultural performances, themed decorations, a watch party on multiple large screens, and an energizing game day rally. Fans will have the opportunity to engage with Moroccan influencers who will be present to enhance the cultural experience, and after the match, they can continue to enjoy the nightlife that Underground Atlanta has to offer.

The event kicks off on Tuesday, June 23, from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., and continues on Wednesday, June 24, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., with the highly anticipated watch party commencing at 6 p.m. ET. Shaneel Lalani, CEO of Lalani Ventures, the company behind Underground Atlanta, expressed excitement about the event, stating, "Underground Atlanta is one of the most iconic entertainment destinations in the city, and we are thrilled for soccer fans from around the globe to experience it."

Event Highlights: A Journey into Moroccan Culture

The Moroccan fan celebration will showcase a curated selection of food vendors that will bring the unique flavors of Morocco to Upper Alabama. Attendees can indulge in offerings from Gas Bros, a food truck known for its international cuisine, including fresh halal dishes; Char Kingz Atlanta, a mobile halal grill specializing in kabobs and flame-grilled favorites; and Scent Souk, which features a luxury perfume and oud bar. Additionally, a themed bar will be available for those looking to enjoy Moroccan-inspired beverages.

The Game Day Rally is set to commence at 2 p.m. on June 24, starting on Peachtree Street and making its way to Atlanta Stadium, creating an electric atmosphere in preparation for the match. Multiple large-format screens will display the live broadcast of Morocco vs. Haiti on June 24, starting at 6 p.m., ensuring fans won't miss any of the action. For those eager to play, soccer balls will be provided on the Upper Alabama futsal pitch, welcoming fans of all ages to join in the fun.

Music will play a significant role in this cultural celebration, with the Upper Alabama performance stage featuring both Atlanta-based and Moroccan artists. DJ sets will deliver authentic Moroccan music before and after the match on both days of the event. Furthermore, several of Morocco's most popular social media influencers will attend, capturing the vibrant atmosphere and sharing Atlanta's celebration with a global audience.

As guests stroll through Upper Alabama, they will be mesmerized by the themed décor, reminiscent of Casablanca, as the area will be adorned with Moroccan-inspired decorations throughout the duration of the event. This Moroccan fan celebration is part of Underground Atlanta's ongoing revitalization efforts under Lalani Ventures, which acquired the property in 2020. The district attracted over 1.5 million visitors in the past year alone, with significant enhancements made to Upper Alabama in partnership with the City of Atlanta and Invest Atlanta, which include improved lighting, large-format screens, a performance stage, modular stadium seating, a futsal pitch, and various other activities.

After the match concludes on Wednesday night, fans are invited to extend their celebration within the lively nightlife venues of Underground, such as The Masquerade, Daiquiriville, Insomnia Night Club, and MJQ Concourse, ensuring an unforgettable experience in this iconic district.
