As the Northern winter season of 2026/27 approaches, China Eastern Airlines is making significant adjustments to its codeshare flight numbers for the Shanghai Airlines route connecting Shanghai Pu Dong to Marseille and Casablanca. Starting from October 25, 2026, the flight numbers for these codeshare services will transition from the current four-digit format (MU8585/8586) to a streamlined three-digit format (MU619/620). This change aims to enhance clarity and efficiency for travelers utilizing this international route.
The Shanghai Airlines service operates this route three times a week, utilizing the advanced Boeing 787-9 aircraft, known for its comfort and fuel efficiency. The new flight schedule will be as follows: Flight FM871/MU619 will depart from Shanghai (PVG) at 01:50 AM, arriving in Marseille (MRS) at 07:20 AM, and then continue on to Casablanca (CMN), landing at 12:20 PM. Similarly, the return flight FM872/MU620 will leave Casablanca at 05:10 PM, reach Marseille at 07:45 PM, and finally arrive in Shanghai at 04:05 AM on the following day, making it a convenient option for international travelers.
