The Regional Office of the Educational Administrators Union in the Marrakech–Safí region has voiced strong criticism regarding what it describes as ongoing unilateral management, improvisation, selectivity, and repression, alongside a lack of institutional dialogue in several regional directorates. The union claims that these practices negatively impact administrative and educational stability, as well as the normal functioning of educational institutions.
In a recent meeting dedicated to discussing reports and data from regional offices, the union office highlighted various discrepancies and violations affecting educational administrators, particularly within the Marrakech Directorate. It condemned what it termed irresponsible behavior directed at a member of the national office and the regional union secretary, which, according to the statement, was accompanied by unacceptable pressure, threats, and communication methods.
Moreover, the union expressed concern over what it perceives as setbacks in the 2026-2027 school year in several educational institutions, especially regarding the implementation of the Leading Institutions Project. The union pointed out delays in rehabilitation and equipment processes, a shortage of human resources, and necessary tools. It called for an objective and transparent regional evaluation of the project, involving educational administrators.
Additionally, the union brought up several professional issues, including the persistent shortage of human resources and equipment, the non-compliance with the legal competencies of the educational administration and management, and the assignment of additional tasks to staff without organizational backing. The delay in disbursing compensation and financial entitlements related to examinations, travel, and additional responsibilities was also highlighted.
The regional office further rejected what it termed a lack of transparency regarding vacant positions and the absence of clear criteria in managing transfers and assignments. It demanded the adoption of principles of transparency, merit, and equal opportunities while putting an end to attempts to undermine the status of educational administrators or to impose responsibilities beyond their competencies.
The union called upon the academy director to urgently address outstanding issues and compel regional directorates to adhere to laws, memos, and organizational procedures, alongside the immediate settlement of compensation and financial claims. It also advocated for the provision of adequate human resources, compliance with the legal and organizational competencies of the educational management body, and allowing trainee educational administrators to choose their preferred training directorate, as well as issuing a clear ministerial memo regarding the reception of educational administrators in regional directorates.
In conclusion, the regional office reiterated its solidarity with the activists of the union, emphasizing that targeting any educational administrator is tantamount to an attack on the entire union. It called upon educational administrators to unite and prepare for the announced national mobilization in defense of their dignity, the protection of public education, and to confront what it described as forms of mismanagement and chaos.
