Concerns Rise as British Travel Influencer Vanishes in Morocco

A British Travel Influencer Goes Missing in Morocco

Rachel Kerr, a 31-year-old travel influencer from Dunblane, has been reported missing in Morocco, causing alarm among her friends and family who have not heard from her for several days. As reported by news.az, Kerr was in Morocco for a work-related trip and had been staying at the Caribbean Village, an all-inclusive hotel located near the beach. Throughout her stay, she actively shared her experiences on social media, showcasing her adventures, which included visits to local markets, a manicure session, and engaging with local residents. Her last social media update was made on April 13, where she posted about her time at 'la marina'.

Her last known whereabouts were at the SMART Nightclub at Hotel Agador, where she reportedly enjoyed a night out until the early hours of Saturday, April 25. She was last seen leaving the club around 5 a.m., and after checking out of the Caribbean Village hotel, her phone was turned off, and she has not been in contact since then. Concerns have been heightened by a friend’s comment indicating that Kerr intended to return home soon due to financial constraints.

Family and Authorities Mobilize for Search Efforts

Rachel's cousin, Claire Hill, took to Facebook to raise awareness about her cousin's disappearance, stating, “My cousin Rachel Kerr, 31, is missing in Agadir, Morocco. Last known to be staying at the Caribbean Village hotel; however, she checked out on Saturday, and we haven’t heard from her since. Her phone has been switched off, and we are very concerned for her welfare.” In light of these developments, the police in Scotland have been notified of her situation, and her family is making plans to travel to Morocco to assist in ongoing search efforts. A spokesperson for the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office confirmed that they are providing support to the family of the missing woman.
