The Costa Adeje Tenerife women's football team has made the decision to suspend its trip to Morocco, where they were scheduled to play a friendly match on Thursday, August 20, against a team from the Souss-Massa region in Agadir. This measure was implemented following a recommendation from state authorities, who advised the cancellation in light of the current political and social climate affecting both nations, particularly in the cities of Ceuta and Melilla. The club’s priority is the safety of its players, coaching staff, and the entourage that was set to accompany the team on this journey.

The club's management expressed their "deep surprise" upon receiving the directive from state officials requesting the cancellation of a trip that had been planned since June 27. Following this notification, the club informed the Canary Islands government to await organizational instructions and to coordinate an official response regarding the situation.

According to EFE, a new date for the match has not yet been established. This match in Morocco was intended to be the sixth and final fixture of the pre-season for the white-and-blue squad before commencing their campaign in the Liga F Moeve, which is set to begin on Sunday, August 30.
