Delano Marrakech: Africa's First Hotel Residences Set to Redefine Luxury Living

Delano Marrakech: A New Era of Luxury in Africa

The Ennismore hotel group, in collaboration with real estate developer YAMED, has announced an exciting venture—the launch of the Delano Marrakech Hotel & Residences, marking the arrival of the prestigious Delano brand in Morocco and Africa. Scheduled to open its residential units by the end of 2026 and the hotel itself by 2030, this project is set to redefine luxury accommodation in the region.

Located strategically near Marrakech's vibrant cultural and tourist hubs, including the historic Medina and the famed Majorelle Garden, the future complex will boast breathtaking views of the Atlas Mountains. The development will feature approximately 80 residential villas alongside a hotel that offers 130 rooms, including both suites and private villas. The architectural design will harmoniously blend local traditions with a contemporary aesthetic, a vision brought to life by Elastic Architects, in partnership with Ennismore and YAMED.

In addition to luxurious accommodations, the Delano Marrakech will encompass a variety of leisure and wellness amenities, including a spa, sports facilities, courts for various sports, and spaces for events and meetings. This project will introduce the first Delano residences outside the United States, offering villas with four to six bedrooms, each featuring its own private pool.

Exclusive Amenities and Culinary Experiences Await

Residents of Delano Marrakech will enjoy access to exclusive spaces, including a clubhouse, fitness center, a golf simulator, and a screening room. A range of hotel services such as concierge, valet, housekeeping, and maintenance services will be available, ensuring that residents experience a blend of private living and luxury hotel standards.

The culinary aspect will play a significant role within the resort, with dining spaces developed by Paris Society, Ennismore's restaurant platform. Two new culinary establishments will debut in Marrakech as part of this venture, along with the Café Delano and the Rose Bar, which aims to be a central hub for nightlife at the resort. Wellness offerings will be enhanced by 'The Source by Delano,' a concept that marries traditional Moroccan experiences with physical activities and wellness treatments. Retail and lifestyle spaces, including the design boutique Nothing Finer, will further enrich the guest experience.

For Ennismore, this project aligns with their strategy to expand into Mediterranean and high-end tourist destinations. The group is already developing several properties across Europe and North Africa, including locations in Spain, Italy, Turkey, and Egypt. Meanwhile, YAMED is committed to enhancing Marrakech's position within the international luxury market, recognizing the city's unique cultural, heritage, and touristic assets that attract discerning clients seeking exceptional experiences. The official signing of the project took place on April 22, 2026, with the leaders of both groups present, marking a significant milestone in Marrakech's hospitality landscape.
